The mock interview was worth it. At my interview this morning, two of the main achievements from it was that I was nervous but my heart was not pounding at all. I was able to admit that I was nervous and I looked at it positively and said to my self “Nervousness is part of the package but I am not going to let it rule me”. Secondly and most importantly I managed to not worry about being wrong or not knowing an answer…amazing.
The questions were almost everything you asked during the mock interview…They emphasized a lot on situational questions and wanted living and evident examples…And oops! Can you believe I managed to extend a hand when greeting. Could not picture doing that….and oh… I managed to smile…I used it as a way of letting out pressure and it worked as you insisted…it was not easy at first but I eventually realized my smiling was contagious to them and it made it doable.
Well I could not easily keep my answers short and I lost trait here and there just like you warned. I became aware every time it happened. Which is good.
Thank you Career Coach Botswana. I know my relationship with you has just started… There is a lot I am yet to learn from you …this first meeting is so much memorable. Looking forward to my next meeting session with you.” B. Semele
